PJ’s Diary: My First Thanksgiving

Mommy says Thanksgiving is the best holiday – we see our whole family, and there’s lots of my favorite thing ever, FOOD!
image

We had two Thanksgivings this year, yay! On Sunday, some of my aunts and uncles came over to our house and Mommy made something called a turkey:

image

Waaaait a minute, should I be worried here?
image

Anyway, my Uncle John & me watched football together…
image

And my aunts all snuggled me! Snuggling is my favorite, right Aunt Linda?
image

Today, we went on a trip to see my family in New Jersey.
image

And on our way, we stopped in to see the nurses that took care of me when I was a tiny baby – this is Miss Erin, I was so happy to see her!
image

When we got there, my PopPop and my Aunt Cindy chopped up more of those turkey things.
image

It takes a lot of turkey to feed this crowd!
image

After the big people ate, it was my turn – yay! I didn’t think that turkey stuff was very good, but my PopPop’s tie was yummy!
image

Big families are fun, there are always people to cuddle you.
image

That’s my cousin Deanna, she’s so pretty and she likes Neverland just like me!

Then we all play games…it’s nice and loud, just the way I like it.

I had so much to tell my friend Michael before we fell asleep. Now we having dreams about next Thanksgiving…good night, friends!

How PJ Celebrated World Preemie Day

1) Demanded breakfast at 5:30 am.

2) Demanded second breakfast a la Merry & Pip at 9:30 am.

3) Played nicely in his car seat until “Boondocks” came on the restaurant radio, then had a dance emergency and insisted on being taken out to dance on the table (a la cousin Korin) to the vast amusement of the waitresses.

4) Blew out his diaper. Twice.

5) Giggled uncontrollably at Mommy & Daddy singing “I Feel Good” for his entertainment.

6) Played with rubber duckies in the bath tub.

7) Started mimicing Mommy’s movements during tummy time.

8) “Helped” Mommy fold laundry.

9) Had guy time with Daddy while Mommy went to the gym.

10) Activated his Small but Mighty Preemie Powers and pulled himself up in his crib for the first time!

Happy Preemie Day, peanut!

PJ’s Diary: First Halloween (Part Two)

Yesterday, I got to wear my fluffy lion suit again! Mommy said we were going Trick or Treating – oh boy!

image

That’s my PopPop – he wanted to know if I was a Nittany Lion!

image

My Nana snuggled me too, just like she does when Mommy goes to work!

image

PopPop, that’s my lion hat! You so silly!

image

Then we went to Uncle Kyle’s house and I roared just a tiny bit for him. Do you like my tail? It’s pretty cool. My Aunt Jenna was working, so I was a little sad to miss her.

image

And after Uncle Kyle’s house, we went to see Grandmom and Grandpop and Uncle Michael!

image

Rrraaawwwr Grandpop! Uh, Mommy? My fluffy lion suit is getting a little warm.

image

Muuuuch better. Happy Halloween, my friends!

PJ’s Diary: A Few of My Favorite Things

Bouncing like Tigger

My chewy giraffe

Coffee…

image

….oh wait, that’s Ms Janice’s (and Mommy’s & Daddy’s) favorite! I like carrots.

image

And toys that are green.

image

My favorite TV show is The Pioneer Woman:

image

And I love surprises, there are sooo many new things to see! Like birthday candles:

image

Oh my gosh Pop Pop, what did you do?!

image

And I love to snuggle – my uncle Kyle let me take a nap on him, and I think he was resting his eyes too!

It’s good to be the baby 🙂

8 Simple Rules For Being My Mommy

I have a highly opinionated child (no idea where he gets that from haha). He believes he has set the ground rules for our house, which seem to be:

1) If my eyes are open, it’s time to feed me.

image

2)  I find conversation ruins the ambience of Mom’s Diner and will not permit it. Violations are punishable by pitiful whining.

3) If there’s a bowl and a spoon, whatever’s in it is mine on pain of pouting adorably.

image

4) Babies in mirrors are not to be trusted. They make funny faces at me and get kisses from my mommy and I Do. Not. Like. Them.

5) Mommy may not eat or drink anything if I am not directly supervising the meal from her lap.

6) Mommy may not refer to schedules of when I “should” do anything. I’ve got my own, thank you very much.

7) Daddy may kiss and hug Mommy and me, but must always observe Rule #2.

8) Mommy and Daddy may occasionally dress up in grownup clothes, but I reserve the right to critique their fashion choices by spitting up on them.

Rules and regulations subject to change without notice. Reward for full compliance to be paid in snuggles and smiles.

PJ’s Diary: Feeling Yucky

Most days, I’m a happy little guy. I jump around and dance and have lots of fun!

image

But yesterday, my belly felt so icky that I cried and cried. All I wanted to do was sleep.

image

My mommy felt real bad that I caught a germ from her, but I love and snuggle her anyway!

image

I’m so glad I don’t ever have to get sick again! Right, Mommy? Mommy? Oh boy.

image

I better take another nap.

PJ’s Diary: Nom Nom Nom

This weekend, Mommy & Daddy gived me cereal to eat – with a SPOON!

image

At first I was all “Whhhaaaaaat?”

image

Then I thought “Yuuuummm!”

image

Do you know how good cereal is? It’s so good I just had to lick it off my bib between bites!

image

But then Mommy putted me in my high chair and I said “No way Mommy! This thing is a car seat in disguise!” (I did stop yelling to take my bites though – did I mention I love cereal?)

image

And then I thought about it some more and figured anywhere I sits to gets fed is ok by me!

image

Nom nom nom, is it dinnertime again soon?
